What operating systems are your plugins supported on?

Taped Spaces is supported on macOS 10.13+ (Intel or Apple Silicon) and Windows 10+. Our Kontakt instruments work on any computer running Kontakt 6.6.1+.

What plug-in formats is Taped Spaces offered in?

VST3 (64-bit)
Audio Units (64-bit)
AAX (64-bit)

What DAWs will Taped Spaces work in?

Taped Spaces has been tested in Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Pro Tools, Cubase, FL Studio, and Reason. It should work in any other DAW supporting VST3, AU, or AAX plugins.

How do I download Taped Spaces?

After going through the checkout process on our fulfillment partner Lemonsqueezy, a button will be displayed with the text "Download Now" - click this link to access installer downloads for Windows & macOS. This link will also be emailed with your receipt to the email provided at checkout.

How do I install Taped Spaces?

To install Taped Spaces, simply run the installer package. Restart your digital audio workstation before loading your plugin. On macOS, you may need to restart your computer for new plugins to appear in some hosts.

How do I activate Taped Spaces?

A serial number will be generated and emailed to you upon purchase of Taped Spaces. If you are having trouble activating your Taped Spaces license, please contact us at contact@halflightmusic.co.

Do I need an iLok for Taped Spaces?

Nope!

I can't find my serial number for Taped Spaces...

Upon purchase of Taped Spaces, you will receive an email from a service called "Sealbucket" containing your serial number. If you are having trouble locating this in your inbox, please contact us at contact@halflightmusic.co.

Can I transfer my Taped Spaces license to another user?

No, sorry. Unfortunately, we are not able to support license transfers to another user at this time.

Is Taped Spaces available through any resellers?

At this point, Half Light only sells plugins through our fulfillment partner, Lemonsqueezy. Any sales from other 3rd party sellers are unauthorized by Half Light. As a result we cannot provide customer support to plugins purchased through unauthorized 3rd parties.

Why do I need Kontakt to use The Ekotape Piano, Dust Bowl Piano, or Lo?

Kontakt is host software developed by Native Instruments for many virtual instruments and sample libraries. The Ekotape Piano, Dust Bowl Piano, and Lo were developed as sampler instruments for use inside the Kontakt environment.

Will your Kontakt instruments work in the free Kontakt Player?

Our Kontakt instruments instruments can be loaded in the free Kontakt Player in DEMO mode, which will allow you to use the instrument without any limitation for approximately 15 minutes. For full use of our (free!) Kontakt instruments, Kontakt Full 6.6.1+ is required.

Why can't I create an account on your website?

We use Lemonsqueezy as our fulfillment partner to handle the user portal, purchasing, and downloads because they're great at that.
